Yesterday I had a headache and felt lethargic, so I didn’t get out of the hostel. Today I feel much better, and did a bit of exploring.
Some striking differences from Vietnam: There are very few motorcycles on the roads here, and the writing uses different characters.
I make a point of visiting convenience stores when traveling in other countries, to see how they differ. I bought these snacks at one for about 67 cents.

I’m glad you are feeling better. Stay hydrated. Does your google translate work well to help you read the signs? It is really hard to sound things out when you have no idea what if the characters are even phonetic. Those snacks are very curious looking. Are you eating them along the way or bringing them home to share? Have a great time exploring Yangon. I am going to have to pull up a map and see where it is located. Lots of love.

I haven’t tried using Google translate on the signage. I ate the snacks here. The preserved fruit was unpleasant to my Western palate, but the bean paste buns and the lychee soda were pretty tasty.
